The most important person in my life....

You could have probably guessed the most important person in my life is my husband. Our 2nd year anniversary is coming up on February 14th and we are having a son on February 17th. It may be because I am VERY pregnant, but since I have been cleaning out the whole house I have been finding pictures and trinkets that bring me tears of happiness. I am the luckiest person in the world to have found my true soul mate. I truly believe Shaun and I were meant to be together forever. After 9 years he is my biggest supporter, best friend and he still makes me laugh so hard I cry (almost on a daily basis). Here's a little tribute to my husband, these are some of my favorite old photos. I figured I would save the Wedding Day photos for next month. :-)

Wonderful Friends....

My shower was last Sunday and it was WONDERFUL!!! I have to say a special thanks to my fabulous friends who put it together. Thank you to Tamara, Vanessa, Becca, Heidi, Leslie, Megs, Cherie and Jeannie. Thank you all for being there and making it such a great day! I felt SO loved and Spencer did too! I didn't get pics with everyone that I wanted, but here are a few that I got.

Baby Shower!!!!

I first want to say a BIG thank you to my dear friends who put together a wonderful baby shower.....

Virus :-(((((

So I must apologize for being a bad blogger. I tried to post an update the other day and while I was trying to find a new background my computer got a MAJOR virus. I am pretty sure it cam from the cutest blog on the block's website because there site was down and kept trying to reload and then IT HAPPENED! I was fortunate to save my computer- although it runs like crap, but I didn't save the blog I was working on. :-((((

Looking for a Nanny.....must be able to lift a child.

So, I started looking for a Nanny today online and actually found some interesting prospects on craigslist (any suggestions are appreciated). I found this one lady who had a resume a mile long and she did it with postlets so it was super fancy schmancy. She sounded like super nanny so I emailed her. I thought I would share the conversation:

ME: Hi ****, I am looking for a part-time nanny, to start in March. I’m a realtor working on a new construction community and require someone Monday, Tuesday and Friday from noon-6pm. Is this something you might be interested in? I live in the Renton Highlands right off I405 near the new Seahawks Training Center.

NANNY: What age are your children?

ME: I am expecting my 1st child Feb 17, and am looking for a nanny to start late March.

NANNY: I fell in the snow and cannot lift a baby. Good luck.

ME: Really? I think having to lift a child should be a requirement. (I didn't really send this, but I wanted to)

PBK....you should be ashamed!

I have had complaints that I haven't registered for anything fun, so last night Shaun and I went and registered at Pottery Barn Kids. I did my homework and started my registry online beforehand.

Walking through the store I soon went into shock at the prices.....almost everything was 75% off or more! These were not the same prices I found online! I got a 3 pack sheet set for $14.97 that was online for $39.99 (orig. $54), a valance for $6.97 that was online for $19.99 (orig. $29), sham for $5.97 that was online for $11.99 (orig. $22), and bumper for $29.97 that was online for $49.99 (orig. $99). The crib skirt was $19.97 and the quilt was $24.97, these aren't available online anymore so I don't know what they were originally (but PBK is not cheap!). So in the end I got a complete set for $115. What a steal!

The "cheap" sets I found at BabiesRUs were at least $189. The greatest part of it all is the set has the same colors I have been using and it all matches perfectly with my fabrics! Oddly the green dot fabric that I have become obessessed with is almost identical to what is used in the PBK set (additionally odd, my secret Santa gift at the Annual Krekow's NYE partay was this adorable apron from Target with a green dot trim, again identical to my nursery fabric). This fabric print is showing up everywhere, it's so weird.

Anyhoot, just had to share my great deals! My girlfriend who equally shares this illness of "great deal obsessed" thinks it's just criminal of PBK to not have the same prices online. I agree, we may start a protest.

Happy New Year!!!

What a great year 2008 was.....let’s recap a little bit! Shaun and I celebrated our 1st year of being married in February, we celebrated 8 years in June of being together+bestfriends+in love+partners...you name it we’ve been in it together for EIGHT YEARS!!!! Whoot! Whoot!, we celebrated Shaun's 30th birthday in June, we found out on Father's Day we are going to have a baby (best thing that happened this year!), I went completely independent in my 4th year as a Realtor in August (I love being my own boss!), and we finally got the whole McGrath clan (14 peeps) to visit Disney World and spent a wonderful week with the Lindblad family at the most magical place on earth. :-)

We have had several blessings in 2008 and are truly thankful for each and every one. Our family and friends have been a positive influence in our lives and we sincerely appreciate all the support we get. Thank you all for being a part of our adventure.
